DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY

ANTONIO BANDERA, A SPANISH AMBASSADOR

There is one person I specially admire, his name is Antonio Banderas.
I first heard about Banderas when I watched his famous film Átame, directed by Pedro Almodóvar.  Antonio is the first Spanish actor who has become extremely popular in the United States. He started his career in Madrid when he was a very young man and from the very beginning he managed to work with the best directors, actors and actresses.

Antonio Banderas is an extremely handsome man. His curly dark hair and dark eyes have made him a Latin symbol in North America. He is tall and broad-shouldered, rather slender and very expressive. . He is also good at singing, which has been very useful throughout his acting career.

Antonio has proved to be a warm person; he is always willing to answer the questions asked by both his fans and the journalists. He is not only glamorous but also kind. Being well-known has not changed his attitude; he is still the same modest man who moved from the south of Spain to the capital to search his dream. Antonio married the famous American actress Melanie Griffith, and has a daughter from this marriage. Later he divorced and has a new girlfriend, Nicole Kimpel.

Perhaps his greatest achievement was when he was able to find his way in a foreign country with little money but great expectations. From my point of view, Banderas is an inspiration for many young actors, I look up to him because he has always been a really committed person. He has invested some of his film earnings in Andalusian product, which he promotes in Spain and in the US.

SPORT IS GREAT

Don`t you think it`s time to start exercising?Nowadays more and more people do sports. Speed, endurance, teamwork, discipline are some of the benefits that you can you get when you do sports.

Firstly, sport improves your health and controls your weight. Moreover, being active in sport increases your coordination, balance, flexibility and makes you feel good. It also helps your mind because it builds the ability to concentrate and develop problem solving skills. Students who play sports work harder and do well at school.

Secondly, sports can help you learn social interaction. In competition, you quickly learn how to work in teams and how to rely on your team mates to win the game. Being part of a team is fun and social.

In my case, I have done sports since I was very little. At school I played soccer and basketball. I loved being part of a team and sharing experiences. Nowadays, I go running along the beach every morning and try to be in shape. So If I were in your shoes, I would take up any sport right no. As far as I’m concerned, it’s never too late to find a sport that suits you.
